Caitríona Perry
Caitríona Perry (born 15 October 1980) is an Irish "journalist"[1] who works for BBC News as a chief presenter based in Washington, D.C. BBC America airs on PBS stations.
This BBC anchor displays a consistent extreme bias in her coverage of the Middle East conflict.
Caitríona Perry relies heavily on footage supplied or influenced by Hamas,[2] the guests she selects overwhelmingly represent one side of the debate, while voices presenting the Israeli perspective are notably absent.
In interviews, she frequently presses with hostile or leading questions and rarely concludes an exchange without leaving an anti-Israel accusation or insinuation hanging in the air.
Attacks on Israel by Islamofascists Hamas or Hezbollah receive comparatively little attention, while Israeli actions are subjected to intense scrutiny. She also routinely frames Israeli statements with phrases such as “Israel says,” subtly casting doubt on their credibility in a way that is not applied equally to other parties in the conflict.
When mentioning Hezbollah attacks, she calls them "retaliatory",[3] as if they haven't initiated the attacks on Israel right after Oct 7 or on March 2, 2026.
She emphasizes the word “civilians” even when there is no evidence distinguishing who is a Hezbollah / Hamas operative and who is not.[4]
The overall pattern is of advocacy rather than journalism.
