Armed Services

The Armed Services is another term for the military. This usually consists of a:

• Navy
• Army
• Air Force
• Special Operations

In the United States it consists of:

• United States Army
• United States Navy
• United States Air Force
• United States Marine Corps
• United States Space Force
• Numerous joint forces, notably United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)

In addition, it is the name of the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate committees dealing with the Armed Forces and national security issues; the committees are considered among the most powerful in Congress.
