Dan Quayle

Dan Quayle was the vice president under George H. W. Bush. He had a much publicized feud with Murphy Brown, who was a fictional single mother. Dan Quayle said that she was immoral and there was a big fight in the media. Quayle was criticized for debating the lifestyle of a person who did not actually exist. He also famously had difficulty in spelling the word 'potato' and was jeered by the liberal media for making the reasonable assumption that people in Latin America spoke Latin.
