Chris Rock is an American comedian who first came to prominence on Saturday Night Live.
His material often draws on race relations from an African American perspective. Though most of his jokes are African American orientated he has been critical of the black community and supportive of better race relations. His wife runs an organization that helps women who have stopped receiving welfare and begun to start working. and In 2005, he hosted the Oscars.
He starred in "I Think I Love My Wife", about an upscale black commuter tempted by an old girlfriend. Rock breaks the mold, by not giving in to the temptation.
