A congressional district is a district region within a state that holds elections to elect a single member to Congress. There are 435 congressional districts in the United States House of Representatives, and the Census Bureau determines how many congressional districts are in each state.
The [[United States, Philippines, and Japan are the only three countries that have congressional districts.
