The Strategic Nuclear Triad was the designation for the three delivery systems for nuclear weapons the United States possesses:
Manned bombers (such as the B-52 Stratofortress and the B-36 Peacemaker).
ICBMs like the Jupiter and Atlas.
Submarines with nuclear missiles.
