Knotty Ash

Knotty Ash is a suburb of Liverpool. It derived its name from a gnarled ash tree which once stood in the village centre.[1]
The western end of the M62 motorway, which links the Mersey and Humber ports via Manchester and Leeds, is in Knotty Ash.
