Trail Life USA is a faith-based Scouting organization. It was founded in 2013 as an alternative to Boy Scouts after the latter allowed homosexual youths to join.
The organization is Trinitarian Christian. Although organizationally youth of all or no religious beliefs are allowed to join, a local troop may restrict membership to those of a certain faith or denomination (as each troop is sponsored by a local congregation and will emphasize its religious teachings).
Trail Life USA has a working relationship with American Heritage Girls (a faith-based Scouting organization which serves as an alternative to Girl Scouts) and many congregations will have a troop from each organization.
