China’s stock markets are made up of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKG).
Chinese stock market meltdown starting in 2021
Since 2021, China’s stock markets have lost about $7 trillion in value.[1]
