Wells, Texas

Wells is a small city in east Texas, at the very southern end of Cherokee County.
The city is the home of The Church of Wells, a non-denominational Calvinist church, which has been likened to a cult due to its extreme views. The church has been accused of holding people against their will, disrupting activities with which it disagrees, and one of its side businesses (a sawmill) has been repeatedly cited by OSHA for unsafe labor practices.
