P.O.D. is a Christian Nu-Metal Band. From its outset the band's lineup has remained fairly unchanged: Paul "Sonny" Sandoval (singer), Noah "Wuv" Bernardo (drums and rhythm guitar), Mark "Traa" Daniels (bass) and Marcos Curiel (lead guitar; Curiel left -- or was removed, depending on the source -- in 2003 but returned in 2006).

The band's name is an initialism for "Payable on Death" (a term frequently used in the financial world, such as a person named to be the recipient of a bank account upon the accountholder's death).

The band is best known for its crossover hit "Youth of the Nation".
