The Minnesota Twins are a Major League Baseball team in the American League Central Division. The Twins moved to Minnesota for the 1961 season, after leaving Washington, DC, and abandoning their previous nickname, the Senators (at the same time a new Washington Senators team was added to the league; it would relocate a decade later to Texas as the Texas Rangers). They play in Minneapolis, Minnesota, currently in the newly built outdoor Target Field. One of the most famous and beloved players to play for the Twins was Kirby Puckett.
