Donald C. "Don" Bolduc (born 1961-1962) is a retired United States Army Brigadier General who is currently running for U.S. Senate from New Hampshire to unseat liberal Democrat Jeanne Shaheen.
Early life
Donald C. Bolduc was born in New Hampshire and raised in Laconia, New Hampshire on the Bolduc Family Farm. His father was the city's mayor and the councilor.
Military service
Bolduc served in the United States Army for over thirty years ever since 1981, having lead groups in the War in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban. He miraculously survived a helicopter crash in addition to an accidentally dropped 2,000-lb bomb. Although plagued with PTSD as a senior officer, Bolduc's leadership proved its worthiness, and he has been known by colleagues with the nicknames “Captain America” and “Everyone’s General”.
2020 candidacy for U.S. Senate
It was announced in June 2019 that Bolduc was officially running to oppose Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) in the 2020 U.S. Senate election in New Hampshire.[1]
