Waskom, Texas

Waskom is a small city in east Texas, located on the border of Texas and Louisiana.
In June 2019 Waskom passed an ordinance which declared the city to be a "sanctuary city" for the unborn, making it illegal to perform abortions or operate an abortion clinic within the city. There are no such clinics in the small city -- the nearest clinic is 20 miles away in Shreveport -- and in any event the ordinance would not be effective until and unless Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Nevertheless, the lamestream media took no time condemning the action, pointing out that the Waskom City Council was "all white, all male".[1]
