Common Sense Media is a website that reviews TV shows, movies, video games, literature, mobile apps, music and even other websites based on their content. They also apply age ratings to their source materials. It was founded on February 27, 2003 in San Francisco, California by a liberal named Jim Steyer. Although the website rightfully condemns violence portrayed in video games, as well as gambling, alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, pornography, and prostitution, it also promotes censorship.
