Sarah Jane Stafford Sims (born 1967) is the chairman of the Division of Humanities and an English professor at the Southern Baptist-affiliated Campbellsville University in Campbellsville in Taylor County in central Kentucky.

Sims is the younger of two daughters of Kenneth Myrl Stafford (1920-1999) and the former Effie Hatter (1921-2007), who resided in Yosemite in Casey County in central Kentucky. The parents are interred at Middleburg Cemetery in Casey County.[1]

Sarah Sims studied at Campbellsville College, as the institution was formerly known. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1989. In 1990, she received a Master of Arts from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. She joined the Campbellsville faculty  in 1993; in 2003, she completed her Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky at Lexington. In 2013, she received the annual CU  Challenger Award; in 2017, she received the "Distinguished Faculty Award," a prize that she said she did not deserve.[2]

Donna Hedgepath, the CU provost and vice president for academic affairs, said that Sims "has a servant's heart in every way - toward students, colleagues, family, and friends. ... She spends the majority of her office hours with students, helping then with their writing or just offering support."[2]

In 2011, Sarah Stafford wed Ronald Dale Sims, a son of the late Willard and Violet Sims, at the Mount Olive First Christian Church in Yosemite, where the couple resides.[3]
