Surrey
Surrey is a county in south-east England, directly to the south of London. Much of the traditional county is now part of London, swathes of territory having been annexed to the County of London in 1888 and to Greater London in 1965. A sunstantial proportion of the modern administrative county of Surrey is suburbanised. It is the location of some of the most expensive real estate in Europe owing to its location on the southern fringe of London and despite being largely suburban in nature, remains heavily wooded; indeed, it is the most wooded county in Great Britain. The pleasant North Downs Hills run East - West through the county and afford some stunning views over surrounding countryside to the south and London, to the north. Principal towns include Reigate, Epsom, Woking, and Guildford. Surrey borders with Greater London, Kent, Sussex, Berkshire and Hampshire.
