March 2017 UK terror attack
March 2017 UK terror attack. On 22 March 2017 a terrorist atrocity was committed in London, England. The terrorist drove a car on the sidewalk across Westminster Bridge, knocking down pedestrians. The car then crashed into railings outside the Houses of Parliament. The terrorist ran into the grounds of the Houses of Parliament and stabbed an unarmed police officer, killing him. The terrorist, who has been named as Khalid Masood, was then shot dead by armed police officers. It is believed that he was inspired by Islamic extremism. [1]
Victims
About 30 people were injured by the car on the bridge and two of them died. They were British woman Aysha Frade and American tourist Kurt Cochran. Mr Cochran's wife, Melissa, was injured. U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted: "A great American, Kurt Cochran, was killed in the London terror attack. My prayers and condolences are with his family and friends". The policeman who was killed at the Houses of Parliament was Keith Palmer.[2]
Leftist denialism
After the attack, UK Prime Minister Theresa May refused to admit that the attack was actually Islamic and called Islam a "great faith" — overlooking key facts about Islam.[3]
