Matt Bevin, a conservative, became only the second Republican governor of Kentucky in four decades, winning by a 9-point landslide despite polls predicting that he would lose by 2-5 points.[1]
Two months prior to the election, Bevin indicated his full support for Christian clerk Kim Davis, who declines to repudiate the Bible by issuing homosexual marriage licenses.
