Who coined the term
Who coined the term, and where is it used? I've read complaints -- possibly by Harlan Ellison -- of Gene Roddenberry overindulging in surrogate gods.--All Fish Welcome 05:06, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
- I don't know where it came from, but I've heard this term used by a large number of Christian pastors. Typically they're talking about Santa Claus, and more broadly, any being supposedly having certain abilities that resemble those of Greek gods or demigods.--TerryHTalk 12:08, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
