Mark Twain (1835-1910), pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, was a great American writer and humorist. On his death, the New York Times wrote:
- His personality and his humor have been an integral part of American life for so long that it has seemed almost impossible to realize an America without him.[1]
His most famous books are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
