Shunzhi
Chinese 順治

The Shunzhi emperor (1638—1661) ruled China from 1644 until 1661. He founded the Qing dynasty (1644—1911). This dynasty was created following the conquest of China by the Manchu, a people from the northeast. The Qing ousted the Ming, an ethnic Chinese dynasty. Shunzhi was the second Qing emperor, but the first to rule China.
