Melissa Harris-Perry is an anchor on the low-rated MSNBC network. She was an unknown until she filmed a promotional video for MSNBC were she stated America needs a "collective notion of these are our children" and that "we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents".[1] When criticized for wanting to take children from their parents into the her utopian collective, she used the classic liberal tactic of claiming to be a victim. [2]
Her comments have earned her the nickname "Stranger Danger" in the Conservative Twittersphere. [3]
