Hobby Lobby

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Quidam65 (Talk | contribs) at 15:10, February 14, 2018. It may differ significantly from current revision.

Hobby Lobby is a privately-held chain of arts and crafts stores headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Owned by David Green, it is notable for its stores closing on Sunday (this also applies to two other chains owned by Green family members, Christian bookstore chain Mardel and furniture chain Hemispheres). It also successfully won a United States Supreme Court case involving Obamacare, where the company (in a close 5-4 vote) was allowed to opt out of the provision requiring contraceptive coverage in its insurance plan, on the basis of its privately-held status and the religious views of its owners.
