A worldview is an individual's set of beliefs which affect the way they see and respond to the world. A worldview could be described as the roots of a tree, which are not visible, but have profound effects on the part of the tree that is visible, and individual's actions.
One's worldview is often closely tied to one's beliefs about God. Some major worldviews are: Christianity, Islam, Marxism, New Age Movment, Humanism, and Postmodernism.
