Live Earth was a series of concerts organized by Kevin Wall and Al Gore featuring live popular music. They took place on July 7th 2007 in New York and nine other cities worldwide. Artists participating in Live Earth include Duran Duran, Foo Fighters, Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, Akon, Bon Jovi, Metallica, The Police, Dave Matthews Band, Garth Brooks, and John Legend. Concerts took place on every continent, including Antarctica (the band Nunatak performed at the Rothera Research Station).
