Minneapolis has a long tradition of coordinated violent unrest.

1934 Teamsters strike, 4 killed in separate incidents. [1]
1935 5,000 strikers surround plant, 2 killed. [2] (The same building was burnt down in the George Floyd riots).
1983 thousands surround hotel where President Reagan was attending a fundraiser. I was there. I am an eyewitness. I saw the organization. Of course, no one could answer what they planned to do with President Reagan when he tried to leave the hotel. But that was the organizers stated attempt.
