John Edward Sununu (born September 10, 1964, age 62) is a former United States Representative and former United States Senator from New Hampshire. He is a member of the Republican Party. Sununu was elected to the United States House of Representatives in January 1997 and served until 2003. He was elected to the United States Senate in the 2002 election. Sununu graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987, and graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1991.[1]

John E. Sununu is the son of former governor and George H.W. Bush chief-of-staff John H. Sununu, and brother of Chris Sununu who was elected governor of New Hampshire in 2016.
