Yisrael Beiteinu holds a right-wing and nationalist point of view and is opposed to most pro-Palestinian affairs. However, Lieberman has proposed a land-swap deal whereby primarily Palestinian towns near the Israeli-Gaza border would become part of a Palestinian state, and primarily Jewish towns would be removed from Gaza. In addition, Lieberman's personal dislike of Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu has kept the party from being part of Likud's coalition, notwithstanding the two parties are generally in agreement on issues of national security.
