The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 is a Soviet-built fighter-interceptor and one of the most widely exported aircraft in the world. Known to NATO officials as the "Fishbed," it was first flown in 1955.
Design
The "Fishbed" has a long and narrow body fitted with two delta wings and a single afterburning turbojet fitted with single exhaust. It is fitted with a bubble canopy.
China
China builds the MiG-25 under the name of the J-7. Production of the J-7 was licensed by the Soviet Union in 1961. The aircraft will be replaced by the J-8.
