Dr. Greg Bahnsen, a notable defender of TAG, became known as "the man atheists fear most" due to Michael Martin's cancellation of their scheduled debate.[1]

Transcendental argument for the existence of God (TAG) is an argument for the existence of God which teaches that morality, science, and logic would be meaningless if there wasn't a God (see external link section below).[2]

Michael Martin came up with an argument called Transcendental argument for the non-existence of God (TANG) in which he unsuccessfully tried to counter the transcendental argument for the existence of God. Martin was criticized by the defenders of TAG for pulling out his 1994 scheduled debate with Dr. Greg Bahnsen (See: Press release concerning Michael Martin pulling out of Martin-Bahnsen debate and Greg Bahnsen and debate).[3]

Martin released his TANG argument in 1996 after Greg Bahnsen died in 1995.
