On March 22, 2017 an Islamic terrorist atrocity was committed in London, England on Westminster Bridge, at Parliament Square and on the Palace of Westminster grounds. The terrorist drove a car on the sidewalk across Westminster Bridge, knocking down pedestrians. The car then crashed into railings outside the Houses of Parliament. The terrorist ran into the grounds of the Houses of Parliament and stabbed an unarmed police officer, killing him. The terrorist, who has been named as Khalid Masood (a British native born Adrian Elms, who had a criminal background and began adhering to Islam as an adult[1]), was then shot dead by armed police officers. It is believed that he was inspired by Islam.[2] Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.[3]

Victims

At least five people were killed by the attack and 50 were injured.[4][5][6] U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted: "A great American, Kurt Cochran, was killed in the London terror attack. My prayers and condolences are with his family and friends". The policeman who was killed at the Houses of Parliament was Keith Palmer.[7]

Politically correct denialism

After the attack, UK Prime Minister Theresa May refused to admit that the attack was actually Islamic and called Islam a "great faith" — overlooking key facts about Islam.[8]
