Francisco "Quico" Canseco (born July 30, 1949 in Laredo, Texas) is an attorney, developer, and banker, who served as the Republican U.S. Representative for Texas' 23rd congressional district, which stretches from San Antonio to the outskirts of El Paso. He unseated the Democrat Ciro Rodriguez in 2010 but then lost the seat in 2012 to another Democrat, Pete Gallego of Alpine, Texas. The seat is now held by the Moderate Republican Will Hurd.
Canseco, meanwhile, was among eighteen candidates seeking the Republican nomination for the open U.S. House District 21 in the March 6, 2018 primary.
