Martti Oiva Kalevi Ahtisaari (born June 23, 1937) is a Finnish diplomat and the former President of Finland.

Martti Ahtisaari ran for presidency as the candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Finland in 1994 and was elected as the President of Finland. He did not run for a second term and was succeeded by another SDP candidate, Tarja Halonen.
