Jackson Stitt Wilson was a clergyman and evangelist author. He was active in the Christian socialism and Social Gospel[1] movements. He was elected mayor of Berkeley in 1912.[1]
Early life
Born March 19, 1868, in Canada, he became a pastor in 1888 the Methodist Episcopal church.
Ministry
From 1893-97 he was pastor of the Erie street Methodist Episcopal church of Chicago, Illinois.
Since 1897 he has devoted himself to the Social Gospel.[1]
