No one, but no one, refers to the "galah cockatoo". It's a galah. Just galah. Unless there's an Australian adjective in front of it - though the adjective usually refers to galahs en masse, because there are parts of the country where flocks can be enormous and quite devestating. In the Australian vernacular, a galah is also a stupid person.

Just saying... AlanE 16:43, 23 October 2012 (EDT)
I agree, but we'll keep it this way, just to separate the bird from the bird-brain. Karajou 16:55, 23 October 2012 (EDT)
K. You change the heading to "Galah" (without the cockatoo) and I'll have an article on it downloaded within the hour. (unless I have been locked out by the ridiculous curfew of course.) AlanE 22:38, 23 October 2012 (EDT)
Done. Karajou 22:40, 23 October 2012 (EDT)

OK? AlanE 23:04, 23 October 2012 (EDT)

Very much ok. I only did some minor adjustments. One of them is your reference to Pizzy's book. Can you provide a page number from the book so it could be added into the references? Karajou 00:00, 24 October 2012 (EDT)
Have done. It's Pizzey by the way, and his references are terrible. And thanks for the leg-up! AlanE 01:30, 24 October 2012 (EDT)
If you'll notice, the reference format is done in MLA style, which is used by a lot of universities. But thanks for providing it. Karajou 01:33, 24 October 2012 (EDT)
Thanks, I'll check with UTAS. AlanE 02:04, 24 October 2012 (EDT)

Well, thanks for the kind, heartwarming words, AlanE (sarcasm). My edit really makes it look more encyclopedic. Do you disagree? --1990'sguy (talk) 22:30, 24 September 2016 (EDT)
