No one, but no one, refers to the "galah cockatoo". It's a galah. Just galah. Unless there's an Australian adjective in front of it - though the adjective usually refers to galahs en masse, because there are parts of the country where flocks can be enormous and quite devestating. In the Australian vernacular, a galah is also a stupid person.

I have already said you were right. Notice the above words: "he is right." (I am not going to ask you to read my lips or study my talons but I did say you were right.... Right?)

So... Even before you went all righteous, I had admitted my felony. I had admitted being light hearted and using idiomatic English in a site aimed at mid-teens. (That is what the stated aim of CP is. Did you not know it, or perhaps you forgot? Or ignored it?)

Fair enough, and if I sounded too harsh, I apologize. However, it's not exactly a compliment to be called a galah (nor a "mid-teen"), even though I found it slightly amusing.
