Waste

Waste is any material which is surplus to a manufacturing process, or a purchased item. Waste is an unwanted item and includes worn, broken or otherwise damaged goods.

Waste may also be used to indicate a non-productive activity.

Waste may also describe a person who is intoxicated. For example: "George was really wasted at the party last night, dude "

Waste may also be known as "trash", "refuse", and "garbage".

Examples of waste are:-

  • paper or plastic packaging material
  • sawdust from cutting wood in manufacturing
  • chemicals used in electroplating
  • worn out appliances
  • worn out tires
