Wang Yi is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples Republic of China as of 2025. He assumed office in 2024. Wang Yi has been mentioned as a possible successor to Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping.
On April 1, 2025 Wang Yi spoke in reaction to the Trump 2.0 administration's tariff program:
