Walloon

Walloon (Walon) is a Romance language spoken in Belgium. It is spoken by about 300,000 people, most of whom are middle-aged or older.
Walloon is related to French, but it is not a dialect, not to be confused with Belgian Standard French. There is now a revival of sorts in the language, and Walloon night classes are popular.
