Hi! I'm a libertarian. I just want to remind everybody that we're not all hostile to conservatives, even though a lot of them are.

If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals — if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.

I believe in very limited government, to the point where it can only regulate things such as contracts and principles of basic morality (do not kill, do not steal, etc.).

The reason I wanted to join is because, as an observer of political debates, I've noted that conservatives and liberals often don't "speak the same language" when debating. I've had a history associating with liberals, and I've noted their speech patterns and thought patterns. As I don't want to be intrusive to the community, I'll stick to editing articles about how liberals use language, so that conservatives can learn how to read their deception, and how to talk to liberals the right way in debates.

Thank you! I hope I'll have a great time assisting everybody in decoding liberal speech!
