My name is a nickname a friend gave to me when under the influence of alcohol one night out. The reason I am called Denerick is because I look German, but how anyone can *look* German is beyond me!

Where I stand on the Spectrum

I come from a traditionally left wing, Roman Catholic Socialist household, but I think I am closer to Margaret Thatcher than Tony Benn. I would consider myself to be a capitalist economically speaking - despite my young age I have a few online business interests (E-Business being the way forward for all western economies), Which keeps me on a brilliant income, more than enough to keep me going in University at the same time. My parents used to insist on giving me money to get through the weeks, but I pay my own way now (The government pay for our tuition fee's over here in Ireland)

With my right wing credentials established, I would like to also mention that I favour a strong family unit, being the best form of government of them all. That said, I am not nearly as obsessed about talking about gays as some people here are - I have in fact a gay friend who just recently came out, as it where. I support allowing loving gay relationships the right to have a legal Union, to enjoy all the benefits of marriage that straight couples enjoy, but have reservations about allowing them adopt children. All in all, let them do what they want! Its a free country!

A random thought

Conservapedia seems to be a Christian, rather than a specifically Conservative website. There are many things I have seen here whilst lurking which have made me wonder about the exact purpose of this site. For example, this 90/10 rule, which is constantly broken by those enforcing it. Discussion is perhaps the most important part of any academic persuit, and this place will fail without it. Of that, I can guarantee you.
