To know me is to know what I believe. The most important of which is that one should read God's Word daily.

  • "The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us to what is right. It is God's way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone." 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 (The Living Bible)
  • "And eternal life means knowing you as the only true God, and knowing Jesus your messenger as Christ." John 17:3 (The Complete Bible - An American Translation by Edgar J. Goodspeed)
  • "For there will be a time when they will not stand sound teaching, but to suit their own desires will pile up teachers for themselves as they get their ears tickled, and avert their ears from the truth and turn off to the fictions." 2 Timothy 4:3-5 (The Bible in Living English by Steven Byington)
  • "See! God's dwelling-place is with men, and He will live with them, and He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There be no death any longer, no sorrow, no crying, no pain. The first order of things has passed away. Then He who was seated on the throne said, "See! I am making everything new." He continued, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true." Revelation 21:3-5 (The New Testament in the Language of the People by Charles B. Williams)
  • "A little while, and the wicked will be no more ... but the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace ... the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever." Psalm 37:10,11, 29 (New International Version)
  • "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not burdensome." 1 John 5:3 (Catholic Family Edition of the Holy Bible - Challoner-Douay Text)

Bible Library

Recognizing that the richness of the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek languages provide translators a variety of choices in how to translate the Bible from one language to another, I have accumulated a variety of translations that are used by a wide array religious communities. While some translation may seem to have deficiencies (i.e., paraphrase vs. literal word-for-word translation), they each provide an opportunity to get another insight into the languages of the inspired writers.
