Tylenol is a widely used over-the-counter medication whose active ingredient is acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol). It's commonly taken to relieve: Pain, headaches, muscle aches, arthritis, menstrual cramps, toothaches, and backaches. It is often used to reduce fever during colds or flu.
