Truth or Consequences, New Mexico

Truth or Consequences is a town in southwest New Mexico.

Originally named Hot Springs, the town changed its name in March 1950 after the host of the radio show Truth or Consequences agreed to host the program's 10th anniversary show from the first city to change its name, which Hot Springs did (on March 31) and hosted the show the following day.

In popular culture it is best known as the "billed hometown" of Cactus Jack, one of three ring personalities of professional wrestler Mick Foley.
