Truly, Madly, Deeply is an upcoming Christian novel written by Karen Kingsbury. It is scheduled to be released in October, 2020.

It is the eighth novel in her Baxter Family Collection series, and the 31st novel overall featuring the Baxter Family.

Plot

Tommy Baxter (son of Luke and Reagan) has announced his career choice: he wants to be a policeman. But his choice divides his parents: Luke is supportive, Reagan is not (she lost her own father -- a businessman working in the World Trade Center -- in the September 11 attacks, and is concerned about anti-police civil unrest).

Tommy is also dating a young woman, Annalee Miller; they discover that Annalee is seriously ill. This leads Tommy to discover more about his grandfather and the circumstances of his birth; when he does it strengthens his resolve to enter law enforcement. Or is it the only way he can take on a battle he cannot win -- the one facing Annalee?
