Tatanya Bakalchuk is a billionaire who runs Wildberries - Russia's answer to Amazon.com.[1] Bloomberg News reported that Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin asked Bakalchuk to create an alternative to the SWIFT payment platform for cross-border transactions. Russian sanctions have denied banks in the Russian Federation use of the Swift payment system which has crippled economy of the European Union and made it illegal to purchase Russian agricultural products, energy, natural gas, and crude oil.
