neo-puritan
"neo-puritan" I assume is a derogatory swipe at a religious group, using the lower case "p". Apparently, it's a UK idiom that's not often used or understood in the US.
The Puritans, who founded America, are often the butt of jokes and derision in the UK cause they turned their backs on British society and corruption in 1507. They're not held in such high esteem in the UK as they are in America. "neo-puritan" I would assume is a 21st century equivalent to "closed minded" or something like that. Reorganization
We may have to convert this page into a Portal and begin spinning off some content into subpages. The information is becoming somewhat unwieldy. There probably are three areas that need coverage: (1) What Twitter is; (2) Pre-Musk Twitter; and (3) Musk reforms.
I propose we consider spinning off much of the Dorsey/Argawal era content as a start into a TBD new title page (perhaps History of Twitter or Twitter under Dorsey/Argawal or Twitter abuses?) Ideas? RobSGive Peace a chance 18:06, December 14, 2022 (EST)
- Ok, I began reorganizing the page by creating a Twitter under Dorsey and Agrawal article. Some of the Twitter#The_Dorsey.2FAgrawal_censorship_regime section can be rotated out (like the stuff on India, etc). Other portions need to remain, for now, like the Section 230 stuff and stuff on the 2020 election, and other portions. The whole section could be retitled "History". Hopefully, this is the first step to make room for expansion and a complete overhaul, top to bottom, including a rewrite of the Intro. Thanks. RobSGive Peace a chance 21:13, December 26, 2022 (EST)
