Badly Informed

I'm sorry, but this article is ludicrously short and makes more references to his bible habits than to his political career. It also seems to state that he broke up the Austro-Hungarian Empire by himself. Speaking as a historian this came as a great surprise to me, as there were a lot of other factors involved. Southern Conservative

No. Any time I hear this nonsense that Wilson was some kind of conservative - and historians are fond of doing this - it demonstrates not just a lack of actual historical knowledge but instead it actually highlights historical malpractice. The following paragraph opening is what is paradoxical, not Woodrow Wilson:

Wilson was a very complex man filled with paradox. He was a southern conservative—an elitist with a profound distrust of radical ideas and such left-wing populists as William Jennings Bryan, but became the Democratic Party's most effective advocate of advanced progressivism. He rejected the doctrine of the Founders of the Republic in the preface to the Declaration of Independence....

Yeah, that was one of the things I wanted to check to make sure got dealt with. Good thing it was, or I was going to make a big deal about it. Lol. Wilson is just another in many important figures to the Democratic Party and American Left that they've tried to distance themselves like they've done with Jefferson and Jackson.
