Talk:The Euthyphro Dilemma

"Is an act good because God approves of it, or does God approve of an act because it is good?" ???

The Euthyphro Dilemma is a false dichotomy.

Replace 'God' with 'people' and you have the same result.

The only difference between that latter version and the original is that God is Consistent Creator, and so Who has created, from the beginning, what all is right and what all is wrong, in terms of organic chemistry, animal and plant biology, the correlated 'subjective' experiences of biological life forms, and the dynamic connections between humankind and the Earth itself.

Only in the most narrow-minded semantic terms has the "Euthyphro Dilemma stubbornly resisted resolution". When words and facts are conflated, the facts can be so obscured as to prevent their proper dynamic in the human mind. PatternOfPersona 19:34, 4 July 2011 (EDT)
